On this show, Emily welcomes guest comedian and reality TV personality Danielle Stewart! Together they discuss past relationships, hookups, blowjobs, and Danielle’s recent hosting gig on the relationship-focused show Sex Box. Emily answers emails about online dating, how to treat women, and the importance of sexual compatibility.
In a recent interview with NewScientist, A Psychologist in Massachusetts suggested the idea that sex drive does not actually exist. Her name is Emily (imagine that!) Nagoski and she is the director of Wellness Education at Smith College and has a PhD in health behavior.
Merriam-Webster defines a “drive” as
an urgent, basic, or instinctual need : a motivating physiological condition of an organism <a sexual drive>
of the word! It must exist! Dictionaries don’t lie, right? Nagoski’s reason for purporting such a seemingly obvious falsehood is that:
“a drive is a motivational system to deal with life-or-death issues, like hunger or being too cold. You’re not going to die if you don’t have sex.”
Tonight’s episode answers the question on many monogamous couples’ minds: How can we spice up our sex life? With the help of Anderson and her assistant Madison, Emily gives tips on how to get adventurous and try new things with your partner, from new sex positions to switching up locations to the lost art of phone sex.
There is currently an epidemic that is sweeping the nation – Women everywhere are still not having orgasms.
Sure, conditions have improved since, say, the Stone Age.. But the fact is, men are knocking out orgasms like carnival games while women are forever stuck at the top of the ferris wheel, if they even make it that far. It seems like the most common questions that pop up in the Ask Emily box are pulling at the same thread: How can I finally experience the big O? Why doesn’t my wife enjoy sex and much as I do? Why can I climax on my own, but not with a partner? It all comes back to the case of the missing female orgasm..
In this show, Emily and Menace are here to answer of all your sex and relationship questions! Today’s email topics include problems with porn, friend with benefits, mutual masturbation and a case of premature (ejaculation) escalation. Plus, Emily shares some free swingin’ sex in the news and drops some serious vagina knowledge that you NEED to know.
